   I found this really neat tool that allows you to check the readability of your hub on any of your websites.
   
   you may need to do some research if you want to know what some of the terms are but overall it is quite good

   That is a need tool. One of my hubs said it could be read by a 7th grader. lol I hope that's a good thing.

      I read once that 7th to 8th grade level is your target for general writing such as a newspaper...

    Not sure what 7th and 8th graders are
    
    But most of mine come out for younger teens or 11-12yrs.
    Because most of the things i write are quite short, I tend to keep it like chatty and newspaper style.
    
    those who could not find the tool it is the link in the middle of the article.
    
    It takes you to a website where you enter the url of site you want assessing
