If I am asked of something, and I have it, I share it. If someone asks me for $5 and I have it, I give it to them. If they ask a question I know the answer to, I give it.
We answer because others ask. No one will answer a question if people stop asking them.
Because of the self reflection and thought required to put into an answer. I answer questions to better understand myself.
I answer questions to help other people. If someone needs information or someone else's opinion, why not give it to them? It doesn't take much of your time, and you are helping another person. That is why I answer questions. If someone makes the effort to ask a question I will certainly make the effort to answer one.
