What is your tax dollars use for and are you sure of your answer?
an astronomical amount of money is collected by the government what is used for and are we sure its being use for only that purpose
Your mandatory social security payments to the government are not taxes. That money is supposed to go to a trust fund for your retirement. Instead, the government uses it as additional income to buy jets, to maintain bases overseas, and to pay government pensions and benefits. Almost all income taxes go toward the defense establishment. Militaries and wars are expensive, so our government borrows money to make up the shortfalls.
