Its not a question of believing that humans have a 6th Sense ... Humans also have the 7th, 8th and the 9th ... Senses ...
The first FIVE, we have, are our Physical Senses, and the next FOUR are our "SUPRA-LOGICAL" or "META-PHYSICAL" Senses ...
Meaning, there is no Rational Explanation of the Existence of these EXTRA-PHYSICAL Senses ... because, these only manifest in state of human Experience ...
The "Physicalists" have given them many Metaphysical names, such as Extra Sensory Perception, Clairvoyance, Intuition, and Precognition, etc..
Regarding your question ... The Term, 6th Sense, usually refers to an Intuitive Awareness ... that has no logical or Physical Senses related explanation.
