Has the Harkonnen planet of Giedi Prime been discovered?
An alien world blacker than coal, the darkest planet known, has been discovered in the galaxy with no explaination as to why the world is as stealthily cloaked as it is. Called TrES-2b, sounds like the evil planet from the movie "Dune" - doesn't it?
Definitely not Giedi Prime. That was in the 36 Ophiuchi system, only about 17 light years from here.
The TrES-2 star system is more like 700 light years from here. And the planet is 1.25 times the mass of Jupiter! Yikes! Try landing your spaceship there and I guarantee you, it will not make your day (bone crushing pressure long before you get to the thick soup of liquified gas).
No, it is not discovered as That was in the 36 Ophiuchi system, only about 17 light years from here.
