If there was no universe or anything at all, what would there be?
Well if nothing existed then there would be nothing more than void.
I believe some may call it Zen. Some may call it Limbo, or Nirvana. I think I would call it boring. Of course, if nothing existed, I wouldn't exist either, so it wouldn't matter what I think.
ttagpine has the idea. To put one's head into the idea of absolute nothingness is akin to finding enlightenment.
The actual existence of nothingness I don't think would be possible. It's an interesting question, but on the basis that we do not know how to really understand the idea of what absolute nothingness would look like (but by doing so we break the boundaries of the mind), to logically explain it outside anybody's hands. One must lend themselves to a more ... intuitive explanation.
Short answer: there would be enlightenment.
There would only be that infinitesimally small moment that exists just before an idea happens.

Well, not just WHAT, you can also say, WHY would that be 'the ONE thing' you could change about your past? It may be an incident, a behaviour, an attitude, a day or a night..simply anything!
