Satisfaction is broad - like when you are hungry and you eat, you get satisfied momentarily. This is the same for thirst. But you soon get hungry again or thirsty and you must eat or drink. So in a sense, satisfaction is only temporary.

The same thing happens with money - you seek it (hunger) you get it (satisfaction) it gets finished (hunger again) and the cycle continues. All satisfaction, be it a new job, a promotion, a new car etc. is temporary. God planned it that way so that we keep working for higher and higher ideals. If you find yourself getting satisfied with anything for too long, something is very wrong.

So, while I am not sure what kind of satisfaction you were talking about, it follows that even in a relationship, permanent satisfaction is not guranteed, and if your partner claims to be satisfied with you from now till the end of the world, be very afraid.

In your career, aim higher after each goal is realised. Maybe when you are 80 years old you will look back at all you have achieved and say - I am truly satisfied.

How can we? We are unconsciously aware of our Freedom. This whole quest is to re-discover who we truly are. Still, God wishes to enjoy Himself or the cosmic game. Yoga calls it 'lila.' Satisfaction is affected by the moving away from that which makes us strong. Some call it 'sin' others bondage and yet others imperfection. Move towards that which makes you strong and keep going. Still, the 'play' is designed in such a way that you will ocassionally stumble. Know this and be free.
