Why do our voices remain the same but our looks can change considerably as we get older?
As we get older our looks can change dramatically but our voices remain more or less the same (after male ones have broken of course!). Why is this?
The physical changes that we undergo with aging rarely affect our larynx ( the voice box) we develop talking styles- intonation, accent, pronunciation, spacing, vocalisation etc. that utilize our laryngeal muscles and vocal cords in a way that it becomes a learned habit.
Our voices do change with advanced age due to weakness in the muscles involved, but these changes are perhaps subtle and so gradual that most of us ( and those close to us) do not notice the changes.
Anything that affects the larynx or the muscles associated with voice production( surgery, polyps, nerve paralysis) will and do affect our voice.
I have extreme sensitivity to sound. I notices changes like that. Yes, voices do change as we age. Some more dramatic then others naturally and for the reasons Docmo mentioned.

Why do we wait until the calendar says January 1 to make big changes in our lives? Each new day marks another chance to be better. What do you think is triggered within ourselves on this particular day even though realistically speaking it is no different than any other day on the calendar?
