   It could be better understood by understanding "vuja de," which is an odd feeling that somehow you know that something has never happened before.
   
   Oddly, after writing the above phrase, somehow I feel that this has happened before, but I don't know for certain.
   
   The familiarity of the present experience may have had a past, but  I cannot identify it; therefore, I cannot really know that the feeling did actually happen.
   
   If I did know, then it happened twice, which is not deja vu.

   Sometimes I think it is just us experiencing something that is so similar to something we have already experienced in our life that we have forgotten about

   I have had many "deja vu" moments during my life. I could not count them all. I think it could be a number of things causing it for all of us. Its like our brain is picking up on something that has happened in the past and telling us we have seen it before. I am not sure of the scientific psychological phenomena but know that migraines and this do interrelate.

   I am not sure but I had an experience just this week that probably lasted roughly 3 minutes. Not only did I feel it had happened before, but I knew what was going to happen immediately next. It was unnerving to say the least. I would love an explanation!
