I love western European languages and I'd like to learn them all l but from what I've found out it's not a good idea to learn any when you aren't surrounded by people who speak it. I spent 5 years learning French only to completely forget how to speak it. I can still read it but everything else I'm clueless.
I would like to learn Korean language since I have always enjoyed watching Korean dramas and movies. I understand the story only because of the English subtitles of the conversation in every scenes.
So far the only three languages I might find interesting to learn are:
Japanese
Dutch
French
in that order too! Even though I want to know these languages I really don't have the drive or motivation to learn them. The day we can have language chips directly attached to our brains I would get these three.

Languages are so Interesting and varied, they have been a passion of mine since schooldays. I speak some French, Italian and Turkish and would love to perfect my Italian.
The new languages I would LOVE to learn and understand are (in no particular order as all ignite my curiosity!)
The language of Love
The language of the animal kingdom (modern day Dr Doolittle)
The language of flowers and trees
Hi cactusbythesea,
I'd learn Binary, so maybe I could get a handle on this whole inter-cyber-optimise-keyword-SEO-webby-cafe-thingy-101010101.
Then maybe I'd make a modest living, though it's just occurred to me that maybe Lotto Language would be better.
Only need to hit Page-1 once and never be seen again, ha ha, he he, I crack me up I do,
MJ.
I want to learn Russian. I've been working on it for the last few years, slowly but surely.
I used to learn German and bits of French but I would like to learn Japanese as I love Japanese cinema, especially the horror movies, some of which beat the American remakes hands down.
Take for example "The Ring" which was a Japanese original. Absolutely outstanding.
Would have been even better if I could speak Japanese.. The culture is also a very interesting one with the whole honor system and to find out that the Japanese used to be paid on an age scale across the country was very surprising.
On the todo list - learn Japanese and go there for a visit
It's been always a good idea to learn some languages. Lately, I've been learning Korean.
