I do this as a career and every single day is rewarding. Not only do the students learn the linguistic side of a language but they become aware of a much larger world that they can enter. Language is a passport to a myriad of experiences. The most rewarding part is when they take the language and cultural skills and make the world a more peaceful, loving place through modeling understanding of another culture.
