As I try to expand my HubPages, I look to you to see if there's anything you want to know about. I practice in the planning areas: Business startups & small business, estate planning, taxation, asset protection and some landlord/tenant issues.
I can also answer general "working with your lawyer" or "how the legal system works" questions if you have them. But, I need to hear what you want to learn about.
After reading your profile you are only located about 2 hours from me, but in a different state. We are landlords who have been debating on dabbling in the NC market. If you write anything related to the NC real estate laws you will at least get one read from me.
We are dealing with my mother-in-law's estate, a revocable living trust. It is far more complicated than we realized and more so than my husband's parents planned on it being. But if we hire an attorney, there will be little of the estate left so it is quite a conundrum.
So information on this kind of estate settling would be very welcome.
I guess I need the complete process from the time the original creator of the trust dies and the successor trustee takes over. We want to liquidate the assets asap but it hasn't been easy as most people don't know how to handle our requests.
