What were YOUR PARENTS' idea regarding leisure and having free time to have fun?
Some parents strongly believed that education and work were the most important things in life, decrying leisure and other forms of fun as quite distracting from goals and utterly wasterful. Other parents believe in a more balanced combination of a work-fun balance. Still a few believed that work and education should be fun and are not mutually exclusive.
My father would say that you should have fun, or rather that having fun is also an important aspect of life. However, he stressed the importance of getting anything you need to get done first, so that way you can relax stress and guilt free.
So basically, instead of work OVER fun, it's more like work BEFORE fun.
