   Parents strive to give their children the security, concern, education, so on, that they need. I would not say these are gifts since parents have the responsibility to try to give them to their children.
   
   However, there is one that is considered the greatest of all their "gifts". And that is...
   
   Love.

   Parents can give their children Life, love, security,  basic needs, education, the best book to read, a good toy, a lovable bed, clothing,  something they like best or what they always wanted most of all their children need is hugs and kisses, for them to know love is most important in a family. Our parents gave us life that tops the list all gifts.

   Respect
   
   Courtesy Be kind, no need to yell and scream.
   
   Love/Affection
   
   Gratitude (when they are helpful let them know they are appreciated and important, that their contributions to the family/household matter)
   
   Assistance - If they need help provide it or find someone who can
   
   Self-confidence Help them feel capable and confident but not entitled and bratty.
   
   Self-sufficiency teach the value of work and earning rewards for a job well done - not just handing them everything they want
   
   Cooperation - don't be a dictator work with them.
   
   Attention - the biggie, be there for them and don't just feign interest. put down your phone and the TV and talk to them, make eye contact, engage.
   
   Adventure - Don't just settle into a humdrum existence, travel, see new things, explore, read, learn a new language - whatever is challenging, lets them learn and keeps their heads out of game systems for hours a day.

   teach them how to be happy and keep happy no matter what, teaching how to deal with life's situation, teaching altruism, teaching compassion, teaching that is good to be good, teaching to appreciate,  teaching they can do what they want, teaching to be responsible, teaching that in order world to change their example is needed
