Is successful cloning possible at this point in time?

With all the advances in sciences since I first became aware of the idea of cloning, when I was a little girl, I wonder why it's not been perfected yet. Why isn't cloning a technology that works yet?

Animals have been cloned but not humans; that anyone is admitting to anyway. I figure since animal cloning has been successful surely they have cloned a human and we will some day find out about it. It reminds me of the movie Multiplicity starring Michael Keaton. One of the funniest movies I have seen.

Last time I checked the cloning of animals resulted in death within a period of time consistent with the age of the animal from which the cloned cells were taken.

I think it is pretty successful.
