What are the 10 ways that siblilnghood is more burdensome for the oldest child?
I don't necessarily know 10 but I was the eldest and I was expected to do more and know more than my younger brother. It was burdensome as a child but I think it prepared me for life later.
They are the ones who get taught how to do things by the parents: cook, fix things, read the classics, play an instrument. By the time the others come along they are either too broke or too tired to do it all again. It's probably both a blessing and a curse.
