Honestly , I don't think so ; I mean you have to consider the fact that diamonds are the strongest by nature made material ,i actually think it's a mineral , but what do I know ? I mean i'm not an expert on this subject or something .
I think, a diamond can be crushed with another diamond only or some tool made up of diamond. Because there is a saying in our Sanskrit language "vajram vajrena bhidyate" which means that diamond can be torn to pieces with another diamond only.
Scientists discovered a way of producing Fullerite, which is harder than diamonds, at room temperature in 2014, so a hammer made of Fullerite and made large enough will crush a diamond today.
I didn't know this innovation. Now, I think you might be correct as Fullerite is harder than Diamonds.

How rare do you think diamonds actually are?Or is the diamond market just controlled to let certain amounts of diamonds out onto the market to keep prices high?

What is your favorite stone and why?My personal favorite is Opal. I love the rainbow effect and how the stones pick up the light. I also just love the energy of that particular stone. It happens to be my birthstone also, but even if it wasn't I would love them.
