Some may not like this answer because of its link to religion; yet none the less, if one can keep an open-mind one may just find how priceless this treasure is.
Through my life experiences there is no doubt in my mind that indeed the Sacraments (from the Latin word Sacramental) are the most "precious" or helpful thing. The Latin word sacramental means "a sign of the sacred." The seven sacraments are ceremonies that point to what is sacred, significant and important as specifically instructed from Christ to his first Disciples. They are special occasions for experiencing God's saving presence. That's what is meant when one states that sacraments are at the same time signs and instruments of God's grace.
Wether it was my comatose experience; realizing the "sting of death" is over-estimated; being in the right place at the right time to (I) intercept a drunk driver to unknowingly protect children or (2) being in a dangerous drug infested hood and turning someone's life around 360 degrees because she recognizes that she received Communion from you a week before. The Sacraments have proven their priceless value time and time again for John Connor.

The most precious thing in the world is the world itself - our home.  Everything about the natural world is beautiful, yet we continue to take advantage and systematically destroy it due to greed and some magical belief that God will fix the problems we create here etc.  Instead of being responsible stewards of the Earth; we will systematically drive ourselves ignorantly into extinction probably and that's sad.  Many today never connect with the outdoors, they don't appreciate the Earth itself and the life our planet provides.  We've become a cancer to the very thing that allows us to live and experience all the other joys of life.

love your family as thy self. Nothing is more important than family. Money is compulsory but not the precious thing.
