    live in New York City, not New York State) ?

    There is a distinct difference among the people that inhabit New York State. There is even a difference among the people that inhabit the 5 boroughs of New York City. Even Long Island has differences from both NYC and NY State.

    People think New Yorkers are rude.  It's not that.  They are fast paced and accustomed to a faster lifestyle.  They have a different culture than people on the West Coast or in the South. 

    What is true is that they do have attitude and are fast drivers.
