Larry, the purpose of this section of the site is to give us a place to ask questions that elicit information and opinions that might lead to the writing of a new article.

Generally, yes or no questions won't do that. A better question might be "what's the craziest thing that happened at your class reunion?" or "why didn't you attend your class reunion?", both of which will encourage people to tell you about their experiences.

My answer: I've never been to one, because I've never received a notification about one.

I did ask a direct question, Lisa. It could lead to me writing a new article. I am sure people would like to give me their input about class reunions.

This should have been left as a comment on my answer, rather than as an answer. Your question "do you like class reunions?" is a yes or no question. Those don't generally do well here, because there's not much room for discussion.

Larry, I believe U misunderstood Lisa a bit.It is hoped that our questions will encourage/inspire our fellow-writers 2 write a hub based upon the topic of the question. Thus, she is correct 2 suggest U simply "word" UR Q. more appropriately.

Never been to one of my class reunions and never cared to. I didn't have many friends in high school and was bullied a lot. The few friends I had don't go to them either. I really have no reason to. High school was not a good time for me.

Linda....How sad for you.  I hate to hear things like this.  I hope your life is much better and more fulfilled these days!  Wishing you well.

Larry.....I attended a private High School, so the student body was much smaller overall than any of the Public Schools.  As a result, with smaller class sizes, it created an atmosphere of close bonds.
My particular class was a wonderful mix of amazing individuals, who were serious students but also loved a lot of fun-filled social events and outside activities.
Our reunions were always planned really well and for the most part, there was rarely a classmate missing, attending from all over the country.  We had a major reunion every 10 years and apparently that was not enough for some of us who were "local" classmates because we found a way to get together every 5 years!  It was always a great time.
Last summer (2016) was our Fiftieth and IMO, it was especially fabulous.  We hated for the evening to end!  Never fear, plans are already underway for us to celebrate together for our 70th Birthday Party!   I, for one, am looking forward to it.

So many of our class died in Vietnam, in accidents and by suicide that we could not find enough to celebrate another after the 10-year reunion, which included much drunkenness I did not like. Surely other classes have had better reunions.
