What solutions do you propose to alleviate & prevent poverty in American families & to raise their living standards? How would you advise such families to prevent poverty in the first place?
Grace very very generally. There is no trickle down effect. Big business needs to pay higher tax. Not the everyday person wearing the burden.
Reduce capitalism extremism. Bring solid ongoing safety nets in education, health and finacial aid. Those in between paid employment positions need to be allowed to build up more money so they can have a reserve behind them. Those public servants on the ground in the above areas DO NOT keep people down so they can retain the security of their jobs.
Paternity and maternity leave.
No privitization of Universities. It breeds desperation not neccessarily innovation as it is promoted.
NO civilian has a gun or gun licence except for farmers/military on the field.
Basic amenties such as electricity, transport etc should not be privitized or sold to foreign investors.
Design/redesign urban areas with green coridors so people dont think native wildlife (or pets) are alien creatures. Dont sell off your country's assets. Look after your own backyard and then do what you can do for others.
These are just a few things I can think of, of the top of my head.
This is not a studied response Grace. Just a interested layman's point of view.
