This is what life comes down to ~ mastering your erotic and sexual thoughts. A saintly life with active intellectual activity is the ideal.

    What are your thoughts?

The title of this forum thread should be corrected:

"Transcending Erotic Thoughts is the Goal of Life!"

This (transcending) can be done by allowing yourself to indulge, if you so choose.

The consequences are usually not so hot, though.
The consequences can be big turn off.
Is the act, in illusion and delusion, worth the effect, in real life?

    Wondering.

Your question actually goes about mapping: Can there be a Map of life?

If there was a map of life, we could follow it, and live accordingly.

        ah ... so true.

And yet, even if we could lay out the perfect Map, everyone has their own will to guide and this individual, self-guided, free-will is very, very precious, which of course is an understatement.

I would say, we have to make our own maps, to be happy and content.

        - and if we make mistakes by charting our own new territories, oh well. After all, the school of hard knocks is a very legitimate school which probably teaches us more, and more quickly, than the average school.

I do like the idea of a Map, though. I think if I could study a Map that would guarantee success and prosperity, I would pretty willingly follow it.

As long as some didn't tell me to follow it.

Very tricky, is the psyche of a human.
