What are your key influences in leadership?

Are you asking what makes a leader or who do we model as a leader?

To me a true leader must have integrity, honesty and a strong sense of selfless service to the people.  These leaders have a greater and longer lasting affect on the people in a positive way.

It's very important to know who influenced us in our leadership acts.

Canada has 3 parties and one leader, Jack Layton was popular, believed to be a 'for the people' type of leader. He passed away but his memory lives on and hopefully, his beliefs where our nation should be going but the other parties are trying to do a lot of 'smearing' tongue

Thanks DAME SCRIBE. Have you learned something in his brand of leadership that you can use in your respective post?

I'd have to say that Mr. Layton was pushing for a leadership that cared about it's people first and definitely not for $$ gains with corporations. It goes with my own beliefs, I care about my neighbor and will help the deserving and even those who don't deserve it, first before helping a business tongue

Does the kind of leadership you are adopting give you any reward at all?

I'd think that such a leader would've ensured a more fair fiscal balance for the nation between the peoples and business. Business is needed for extra $$ for the nation, yes, but not at expense of services for the people at home.

Is it always a requirement for a leader to have a working knowledge and skills on fiscal management?
