An exceptionally talented surgeon who believes only in Science has a metaphysical crisis when he is visited by his deceased ex-wife and she needs him to finish her unresolved business including maintain a relationship with him. In working with his deceased wife's free clinic patient's Patrick Wilson finds all the things that are missing from his life especialy his humanity.
