Which annoying movie-going types who would you most like to ban from the theatre?
People who use their electronic devices during the movie, particularly cell phones that light up
People who talk loudly during the movie, especially if they talk to the screen
People who bring inappropriate age children to movies with graphic scenes/language
People who sit next to you even though there are tons of empty seats (it's just weird!)
Wow, I wonder if your list should be screened every day in the movies before the film is shown - that should silence the viewers, Great, thanks for your comments.
I agree with your list. Especially the one's about cell phones and kids at movies they shouldn't be viewing. I'd add one more: Having to listen to a crying baby or kid who's acting up because the parents don't want to leave the theater.
The ppl who loudly crunch popcorn during critical scenes, for example: one very large fellow directly in front was stuffing his mouth with the corn and crunching it so hard during Jesus's scourging in The Passion of Christ you could barely hear the movie. Must admit though, it's kinda humorous in retrospect.
With your permission to be weird:
I come from the ancient times and a different country where there was no eating or drinking in the movie theaters. I hate even the smell of pop-corn.
Of course, there is no banning of food, but if I could, I would.
and I would adjust the volume of the sound, I suspect the volume is there to offset the "eating sounds".
In my case, it is a complete science fiction - movie theaters are money-making machines, not something that should make finicky people happy. It's mostly for the masses whose manners went to the dogs long time ago.
Most definitely people who decide to answer their mobile phones and shout YA I'M In CINEMA whilst watching the movie...
I totally agree with nurseleah's list and would like to add:
People who insist on putting their feet on or kicking the seat in front of them. I am not a hostile person by nature, but have actually had a bit of a war of words with someone for doing this repeatedly to my seat during a movie.
I also like kallini2010's suggestions. Why not ban food and electronics all together.
people that yell and talk throughout the entire film loudly; especially the ones that seen the film before you have, and then totally spoil whole damn movie for you.
Excessive talkers, late arrivals, and those who constantly check their cell phones which emit an annoying light in the dark.
Another one is anyone who has to cross my path more than once each way to go to the restroom or buy food from the concession stand. :-)
People who smell bad, make noise (pass gas, belch, whisper, yell, any annoying distracting sound), push the back of your seat, spill food on you, try to start a fight with other people in the theater, or anyone who causes others around them to be unable to enjoy the movie they just paid big bucks to watch.
I'd say it is not related to movie theaters only - it is a caveat of being around people. Someone will smell badly, someone will always fart... Do you know that there is a reason older people called Old F-rts? I wish, though, we lived in ideal world.
Oh true true kallini2010. In a perfect world these issues wouldn't even exist. But just to answer the question, I would still pick the people who refuse to use manners and show consideration for others.
Perhaps some people are just socially inept and should be taught more manners at school.

When you go to the movie theater do you get butter on your popcorn or just plain ? or Do you bring your own snacks in your purse? Some movie theaters check your bags now. There was a time when you used to be able to bring your own snacks instead of buying $5-$10 for popcorn and a drink. Just...
