   Is a crossover between DC and Marvel movies inevitable?
   
   The rampaging success of super hero movies continues with Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel on deck.  Given how things have gone and looking ahead, is it possible DC and Marvel may do a movie crossover?

   I think it's inevitable. And then maybe Disney will roll 'em into their universe.

   Probably not. Right now Disney owns most of the marvel universe (not all of it) and Warner Bros owns most of the DC universe. Unless one of those companies buys out the other, it's highly unlikely we will see a crossover. I think the comic books tried it once (Superman Vs Spiderman) but the rivalry between the two comic book producers is one of the things that keeps the content fresh.

      A fair point, but you have to remember Disney and WB have done it before.  One of my all time favorite movies, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, was a crossover between the two and it was an enormous success.  If they find the right storyline, it's possible.

      True, Roger Rabbit is an exception, as is Wreck it Ralph which managed to bring together a lot of rival video game companies. One thing is for sure, it would be a long, rocky road to get a project like that off the ground.

      I think a superman/batman movie or a justice league movie, is much more likely since they are both DC properties.

      Probably.  But still, knowing how far studios may go to milk a cow, I would think a DC/Marvel crossover would gross a TON of money.

      But who would get top billing?  Who would get the distribution rights?  Which studio would make the film, while the other one merely licenses out the characters for the other one to use?

   I'm not sure about it, because there is something of a rivalry there. And I don't see the Justice League getting along well with the Avengers. And squabbling over little personality differences makes for a dull movie (it was the worst thing about The Avengers).

      Everybody has their preferences.  I would say trying to mix so many heroes together is impossible.  But, say, a Batman/Spiderman crossover might be interesting.

      I enjoyed the squabbling in the avengers. So many big personalities are bound to clash and it made for some fun scenes with the actors.

      Batman and Spiderman would be cool because I could see Spidey being like a protege for Batman, M. T. Dremer, I guess I can see your point. I mean, Tony Stark vs. Captain America, that made for some interesting dialog and good snappy remarks.

   It's probable, but unlikely considering the fact both studios would want top billing to distribute such an elaborate crossover film.  Plus, DC and WB still haven't panned out their own cinematic universe yet, while Marvel and Disney is already planning out Phase 3 of their plans even though they're still in Phase 2 at the moment.  Therefore if this does happen, then I predict it probably won't be until like 20 years from now when comic book films die out a bit, and both companies start to look for something to possibly re-spark interest.  Then and only then can i imagine this becoming a possibility.  not before.

      Your right things do change over time, but at the same time, i wouldn't hold my breath on this.  Because if Marvel isn't willing to do this with Sony, so they can use spidey in avengers, then i doubt they will for a dc character like superman for ex.

   what would be fantastic would a homage to the amalgm comics which was collaborative between dc and marvel like dark claw (batman and wolverine)
   
   as to crossovers between the 2 universes, its certainly possible, though i cant seeing it happen anytime soon, dc/wb needs to get its ass in gear if there are to push on with justice league, they have to make batman vs superman, wonder woman, the flash and i would certainly have then sort out green lantern who is my fave to incorperate them in, martian man hunter could be unveiled during the film.
   
   what would be a fantastic thing for all fans alike would be once the JLA is set up, maybe have the the dc vs marvel story arc (though too many heroes) or the justice league avengers arc in which youd have the avengers and JLA in a film (or 3) i think thatd be the sort of limit they could go to before just having a mess of hero and villainary on the screen the worlds could mix would be fantasic.
   
   also i know spiderman films are owned by sony,
   the x men and F4 by fox...
   unfortunately that makes it difficult for those heroes to mix even in marvel films (though doable) we almost had oscorp make and appearance in the avengers but they couldnt agree.
   
   i think wed have to go through a phase 4 - 5 before we'd get to see our favorite heroes team up or battle it out together.
