What’s Your Favorite Clint Eastwood Classic?

I have been watching Clint Eastwood since his days as Rowdy Yates on “Rawhide” way back when. Since then he has been on numerous movies as well as directing and producing. I recently observed while watch my cult classic movie “Tarantula” that it was Clint Eastwood who played the fighter pilot near the end of the movie. You couldn't see his face for the mask—but that Clint Eastwood voice was unmistakable.

So—if you had to pick just one Eastwood Classic—what would it be?

With such a big variety of films to choose from it's hard to pick just one.  I really love his westerns best, so I guess my choice is "High Plains Drifter".

It would be impossible for me to choose just one. Last night I was watching "Million Dollar Baby" and his work both in front and behind the camera is awesome. The same could be said for "Gran Torino".
If I had t narrow it down I would say it's a three way tie:
"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly", "Play Misty for Me",  and "Unforgiven".
I also enjoyed "A Fist Full of Dollars" along with some of the Dirty Harry movies but I will stick with the three I mentioned.
Clint is truly an "ICON"  He's put together a large body of work.

The only movie I can think of with him in it was Million Dollar Baby, and that movie was good up until Hilary Swank's character had her accident and became paralyzed from the neck down.  That was a sucky movie, but Clint Eastwood is a good actor and pretty handsome.

Is it a "sucky movie"? or Do you simply dislike movies with (sad) endings? MDB earned Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor. Clint -Dir. Hilary Swank-Actress, & Morgan Freeman Supporting Actor!
      Not bad!

My favorite Clint Eastwood movie also happens to be my all time favorite movie, "The Outlaw Josey Wales." Extremely quotable, with a great story. I also like "Every Which Way But Loose" and "Any Which Way You Can."

The first thing that popped into my mind was the 'The Outlaw Josey Wales' followed by 'Two Mules for Sister Sara'. Then I wrote them here. Now, I am thinking of 'Space Cowboys'.

For me it would have to be 'The  Good, The Bad and The Ugly'. Everything from the theme tune to the acting and storyline were superb. It is a long movie, but I never notice this!

I have to go with a, sort of, revenge classic: "Hang 'em High," about the cowboy wrongly "convicted" and lynched for a crime he didn't commit. He survives, of course, and settles up with them hombres!
