It's official folks.  Gal Gadot has been cast to play Wonder Woman in the upcoming batman vs superman film. Many people on youtube complain about this casting because they claim she's too skinny and not muscular enough.  Gee, I guess they don't think she can simply..i don't know...maybe...WORK OUT...like other actors do, but hey...that's crazy talk right?  However, that's not the biggest concern on youtube.  no no no, they're biggest concern is that gadot's boobs aren't big enough for her to be wonder woman.  to that i just have to say...are you f**king kidding me?

Have you not heard of wonder bras, or girls who stuff their bras full of tissues and crap?  you ladies out there reading this know who you are if you happen to be one of those type of girls.  not trying to be sexist or anything, but just saying.  I mean seriously why is that even an issue about the casting of wonder woman?  this is exactly like the time when I opened up a forum on here asking you all for your thoughts on the nbc pilot about wonder woman that was inevitably canned.  Most of you men out there whined about wonder woman not showing enough of her LEGS from the previews.  Really?

Seriously, why is that whenever we talk about the casting of wonder woman we always jump to her looks before even talking about whether or not the actress playing her gets the character?  I mean shouldn't that be more important?  Pfft call me crazy, but that's just me.  Yet, fans wonder why we never gotten a wonder woman movie up to this point.  Anyways, here's a picture of what gadot looks like:

anyways, i apologize for my short rant, as i know sex sells in hollywood, but still.  what are your thoughts on this casting?  do you think she'd be a good wonder woman?  Or do you think they made a mistake?  And if you can think of anyone better that should've been cast, then please let us know in the thread.

edit: Please for the love of god don't mention megan fox as being a better candidate for wonder woman.....

When my brother told me that she was going to be Wonder Woman, my first question was "Isn't she too skinny to be her?" But she can bulk up and prepare for the role. Chris Evans did for Captain America. He wasn't skinny before but he had to put on a lot of muscle for the role. I think she will do a great job.My brother thought of GIna Carano from Haywire.

My honest opinion of the casting is that in the face, yes, she looks the part. My concern is can see capture the essence of the character and also be believable in the sense that she can stand toe to toe with Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. That is my only issue. Can she pull of the action scenes in a believable manner? However, I am really tired of people picking apart the casting choices of super heroes. I for one think Affleck will be a very good batman

Yeah I don't disagree. Plus, it's kind of silly that people pick apart casting of superhero films over the tiniest details like looks.  I mean people forget that when christopher reeves was cast as superman that he did not look like the character at the time, yet when he proved how good he was in the role, that's when you saw later illustrations start to model superman after reeves' portrayal, so it's not all about looks.  It's more about understanding the character, and staying true to those key essential elements that make them who they are.

I don't know enough about gal gadot's work to really make a judgment on her just yet.  Plus, we really don't even know how big of a role wonder woman is going to have in the new superman vs batman film yet, as it could only be for like a small cameo for all we know.  Assuming it's a big role, I think it would be wise for her to get in shape and start to tone up.  I don't think she should gain too much muscle, but maybe up to how jennifer gardner looked in elecktra would be sufficient if you ask me.

The bigger worry is whether or not she can portray the character well if wonder woman has a big role.  Plus if she has a big role in this new film, then you know she'll have a big role in justice league as well; along with a future trilogy starring wonder woman in mind.  therefore, we'd have to ask ourselves honestly if she has what it takes to carry her own movies. Although I'm not familiar with her work, but from reading other critics that are familiar with her work, it seems like she's the sort of actress that can play the sexy bad girl archetype, but many doubt she has what it takes to star in her own film; which worries me a lot.

Don't get me wrong, I hope she does well.  However, if what I've been hearing about her is true, it does worry me about how she can portray wonder woman because we needed a strong actress that can portray the character, while proving she can carry her own films as well for future wonder woman movies.  This is exactly why i was hoping kate beckinsale would've gotten the part.  She has experience in action movies, and she's proven she can carry a film on her own with the underworld series standing as proof of that.  plus, she's a good actress as well.

I don't think she is good for Wonder Woman....Linda Carter, the original Wonder Woman was super hot! Gad it really isn't that attractive & waaaaay to skinny.

Megan Fox is that attractive either...I'm not sure anyone of today's stars could pull it off..... Demi Moore would have made a good Wonder Woman in her prime....

I had never heard of her till it was announced that she was the new Wonder Woman. Ehhh... good for her, I guess. All I can say is good luck to her, she's going to need it. The Internet Fanboy Community already has their knives sharpened for her, it seems.

I actually just posted an article and my thoughts on how the Batman vs Superman movie should be done. I have given it considerable thought over the past few days and this whole conversation kind of lead me right into it.
