    Can you listen & enjoy music without vocals?

    Can you sit, and lose yourself, while listening to an instrumental piece of music? or do you feel a song / composition is incomplete with out the lyrics and vocal melody?

    I enjoy classical music, with no lyrical content the pieces are still extremely powerful and I can lose myself in the music.

    I also grew up with my parent listening to The Shadows, again no lyrics but Hank Marvin was a genius!

    I listen to Joe Satriani from time to time and most of his music is instrumental, I don't mind.
