I don't know what to say...One of the Greatest Artists of our Time!
Yuppers I seen the officail reports,..Jackson is dead. Great Great Entertainer,.....But theres this thing called Karma,..Well I'll say no more. Prayers to his family !!!
Oh, shoot! Someone got the news out before I did! This is a sad, sad development.
Yes, it appears he has died. Despite the horrible rumors, whether true or not, I do think he was a good person. However, that's not meant to excuse any unsavory behavior he may have engaged in. Perhaps his illness was as mental as it was physical. He is a pop icon for the ages, and no doubt his death will be heavily reported. Rest in peace, Prince of Pop.
I am glad he accepted ISLAM before his death. May Allah give him an easy and pleasant journey and shower blessings on his grave.
So - now he would go to paradise - is it? Its sad that we have people like you, who focus on religion so much.
Anyways, I was shocked to hear the news of his death. I think he wanted to redeem him image and I think he would have with his upcoming concert. So sad - he didn't get the chance.
I think he will be remembered much more fondly than he is now, in years to come. I think all the controversies and wierdness will be forgotten by future generations. He would be remembered for his wonderful evergreen music. Its truly the end of an era!!
A Tribute to Michael Jackson -King Of Pop

Dang Girly_Girl,..I posted and seen you beat me to it,..Your quick girl,...LOL. You are on top of your game,..LOL.
I find it strange it would happen the same day as Farah Faucett Dies,....
Wow, I saw he was in the hospital, but haven't seen news that he died. Crazy.
It has not been announced by any legitimate news sources yet. I'm currently watching CNN and they haven't made announcements.
From the NEW YORK POST: MICHAEL JACKSON DIES
SUFFERED CARDIAC ARREST IN HIS LA HOME
http://www.nypost.com/seven/06252009/ne … 176101.htm
It could be a hoax, but I highly doubt it (that did cross my mind) Didn't he used to talk about being cryogenically frozen?
He was great until the 90s, then his talent declined rapidly.
If it is true...that means 2 70s icons died on the same day....
When I first heard it I was very skeptical since he has a tour coming up.
TMZ is saying he's dead. thats the only one i can find so far. not the most reputable... http://www.tmz.com/
and this one http://www.citynews.ca/news/news_35630.aspx
Just spoke with a few people from UCLA, and they've got a tight lid on it...I'll keep my mouth shut from here.
So, the LA Times and CBS are now reporting he has died, according to CNN
CNN just announced that he died according to the LA Times and CBS
The BBC says, "Unconfirmed reports on TMZ website and in the Los Angeles Times say the 50-year-old star has died. "
May Michael Jackson rest in peace. He was one of the most talented and gifted entertainers of all times. I prayer for his children and family and all those closes to him.
It's sad, I had such a crush on him when I was a kid and had all the Jackson 5 albums.
My best friend when we were 14 had a crush on him too,..she got mad at me when I went to the Micheal Jackson 5 concert on her birthday without her,...LOL. No I'm not a mean person,..I coaught her kissin on my boyfriend 2 weeks prior,..we are still best friends today,..LOL. Stupid story probally, but this just made me think of it.
Good riddance to bad rubbish as I said in another forum posting on this topic.....jimmy
How can you be so harsh? There was never any solid proof that he was a child molester and his music was amazing!
oh... sorry, i guess i had forgotten he was human. I apologize.
Well there was some evidence. I mean why do you think his pants were always so short?
Because they weren't his!
What's the point in kicking a dead body?
May he rest in peace...
Yeah no kidding. Everyone has a skeleton in their closet, and it's not even proven those skeletons exist (I couldn't picture a parent taking money over justice if that really happened). And if you believe there aren't parents that would use their kids for a chance to get some guys money, I feel bad for you when you wake up from your dream world. He was a text book weirdo, but that doesn't mean he did anything bad to the kids. At least give the dude one day's worth of respect before you start bashing someone on something you really have no way of knowing ever happened.
I completely agree. Plus, he's the father of 3 beautiful, innocent children whose lives have been forever changed now. He was a wonderful talent, a true musical genius, and his memory and family deserves respect now. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
Misha, good for you. People do not have anything to do just talk.
No matter what he did or did not do, he was an entertainment legend that changed rock and roll. The 80's have his stamp all over it.
Now people are starting to build him up a bit much. He was the King of Pop because he called himself that...
Someone compared him to John Lennon...I think not...
This is as big to me as when Elvis died, that was as much a shock...
He I must admit he is a legend in the music industry and that his name will live on in history for a very long time, but that does not mean that he was a good person, everyone has their own opinion and you all know mine lol.....jimmy
here's a curious question: no one would reprove me if I made the mild comments i have while he was alive and well. why is the fact that hes dead change the reaction?
I suppose to me he has always been more of an idea or an embodiment of certain principles i thought less than noble and just because he has died does not mean that his legacy hasn't, like jimmy said. From my perspective i'm not at all kicking a dead body, just a freakish collection of immortalized attributes.
.... hahaha
I'm not so sure no one would reprove you about the mild comments you made while Michael Jackson was alive. Maybe not in Utah, but not everyone lives in Utah. "a freakish collection of immortalized attributes" hmmm.
Everyone I know admired his music, as far as his "child molesting" who knows, he was gentle, huge and a sitting duck for tabloids.
May his soul rest in Peace. That man had been put through so much stress with false accusations etc and it finally took its toll.
Rest in Peace Michael.
I am in great pain that we has lost another great star. Now is the time to dwell on the good that he had done with his life. If you can't say anything good about a dead person. It just tell what kind of person you are. No one has said anything nagative about Farrah. I love them both.
Such sad, sad news. Who would've thought today would bring this?
Being child star, especially one as talented as Michael, cannot help but be detrimental to a person's mental process's. He was such a extraordinary entertainer but there always seemed to be something lonely about him.
No matter what you think about him as a person his music was one part of him which was GOOD.
I'm completely shocked. I can't believe I found out about this on the Hub Pages forum before anywhere else.
The spirits of the dead prohibits the living from saying bad things about the dead.
Michael Jackson has passed on. May God rest his soul in peace?
I just finished watching it on the news, it is so sad and such a loss to the entertainment industry, he has touched so many people lives through his music, and his influence is far reaching through out the world. He will be missed and I wrote a hub in his memory.
It's a sad day today. First, in the afternoon I read that Farrah Fawcett died then at night I heard about Michael Jackson's death. I just felt bad last Monday due to tragic Metro Subway crash here at Washington DC metro. I take subway everyday but luckily I worked from home that day. I hope good things will happen on the next days ahead.
Wow. Micheal Jackson dead. How much money did he owe people over the last few years and never paid? Gigs that were never paid, and the lawsuits for money. Then there was the Bahrain deal that went sour, and closed with a undeterminant agreement. Oh yeah, the pedophile thing too. Jeez, he was so great....
Unfortunately, we will wait for toxicology on this one, or maybe foul play.............
Advertising promotional links on a thread about someone's passing is quite odd.
We lose so much talent before their time, I suspect the pain killers got him.
Gone to the big dance floor in the sky. Rest in peace Michael and thanks for entertaining us.
I just heard the weirdest thing on TV...someone said MJ was the kind of larger than life guy who should have at least died from a bullet...a cardiac arrest is tame in comparison?
Couldn't say he was larger than life - he was quite reclusive in reality. So that's a weird tabloid type statement. I'm not surprised it was a heart attack, I'm pretty sure he had allot of demons in his emotional closet which showed externally in his eccentricity. Then again, didn't he have a McDonalds at his old ranch? Maybe he had a bad diet.
His death is a very very sad day, the most popular person on Earth is dead. He was inspirational to anybody whether they hated him or liked him, he loved everyone.
I don't think so. I don't really care either way, don't find his music particularly inspriational, and none of the people I've talked to today have even mentioned it.
Gosh, he was a huge part of my life growing up! Terrible loss...
He was a talented person, but highly troubled. His music was not my favorite, but he did have a few good songs. I also thought it was touching how he liked the Moody Blues because not many other major pop stars have given them the recognition they deserve. I realize I have had about twenty-six years of really clear memories because I remember watching Jackson's videos in Kindergarten and first grade when he was still very big. At this point he has passed away and we really cannot say we know anything for certain about his life, except it is sad when someone dies that young.
At least he can drink his jesus juice out of the public eye!
I think he has gone to his own planet now, friends with the grays and other alien life forms!
At least we have some of his music left behind...chow mein!!!
I, for one, am greatly saddened by the loss of the talented young man. Yes, I know he was 50 ( we are too too close to the same age), but I saw a severe case of arrested social development. This is the worst case of child stardom gone awry that has ever existed. I believe that he spent his adulthood looking for his childhood. That is extremely sad. When you top off the fact that he turned himself from a very good looking young man into a freakish looking monster, no wonder then he ended up with severe mental issues.
None of that takes away from his extreme talent. He still blew me away every time I saw him perform in a video. I was extremely saddened to hear of his death. I also was gratified to see so many people stand out to say how he influenced their musical careers. Unfortunately, we didn't hear so much of this when he was living.
Yes, Jackson was a baby who never matured because of you and me.
But Jackson suffered burns to his scalp after pyrotechnics accidentally set his hair on fire and latter the pop star was diagnosed with vitiligo. He must have used treatments and makeup to mask blotches that made his skin appear very pale.
very sad. he was a great entertainer and plagued by law suits and possibly (allegedly) the wrong prescription drugs.

As a musician and music lover, I have grappled with an answer to this question since MJ's sad passing, if there ever will be one.To me, good music entertains us. But great music must inspire and fuel passion within us. It may even change the way we view the world and hopefully for the better. For...

Yep you heard it here first - he climbed out the back of the coroner's van! Well that's what people will have you beleive anyway! I also heard he's living with Elvis for a week or two until the media coverage calms down!
