I mean music that is epic. Music that gives you goosebumps when you listen to it. For example, my favorite is Requiem for a dream by Clint Mansell (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2Ma4BvMUwU

Okay, anything by James Horner from his first "big" gig (Battle beyond the Stars" to his latest foray (Avatar) always gives me gooseflesh. Some others to look up are David Arnold (Independence Day, Stargate), Hans Zimmer (Batman Begins for starters), James Newton Howard (Again batman, Peter Pan, etc), Klaus Badelt (The TIme Machine - his best, IMO), and of course John Williams (Do I need to say anything here?)
There are a lot of othe modern composers that can be listed, but many selected works from these people are on my hard drive for whilst I am writing.
