Do you mean inception the movie? Coz the definition of the word is "an event that is a beginning; a first part or stage of subsequent events".

I guess our understanding of time and the Universe is limited. There are many unexplained and poorly understood phenomenon like the dark matter.

I am no scientist but like to know more about things. Enjoyed the movie.

I feel a little (just a little) skeptical about the idea that other people, outside your own subconscious, can basically construct a landscape in the mind for you to have your dream inside, and then come into your dream themselves... Not to mention the idea that there could be three or four of these artificially constructed dream landscapes inside of one another.
However, I will add that the movie presented all these ideas in such a believable way that I almost completely believed it could be possible when I was watching the movie. Great film!

I think the 'inception' in the film is really just a spin on hypnosis - where one can 'implant' thoughts or ideas to the subconscious mind (as long as they fall within the ethical or moral parameters of the subject).

    Hope this helps!

Yes, Inception is very possible. In the film, the term is used to describe the act of "planting" an idea in someone's mind and then letting that idea naturally grow into a thought that the person thinks that he/she thought of him/herself. This happens all the time, and most of the time it goes unnoticed. I bet all of you reading this have experienced inception at some point in your life and simply can't recall the event.
