Is Charlie Sheen really winning or does he need an intervention?

What kind of intervention and why?

He needs all kinds of help.  How do you teach someone that leaving your small children with a group of porn stars might not be a good idea?  Unfortunately this will make him more popular.  good question!

Thanks for your answer Todd228! I look forward to reading your forthcoming hubs. I've written one on behavioral relapse prevention. I'm hoping that linking Charlie Sheen's situation to my writing will attract readers so those who need it, will learn about a science-proven strategy to kick addictive and life interfering behaviors.

I really believe that he is undiagnosed Bi-Polar.  His actions really fit the diagnostic points.  I don't think at this point an intervention would work.  If the press would stay clear of him, and he lost his audience, he might calm down and do some serious work on his problems.

Charlie Sheen needs immediate help! Apart from publically humiliating himself, he is living the most unhealthy life possible and honestly, if he goes on the way he is, sadly it's not going to end well. I think he should definitely get help, for himself and for his children,

since people seem to want to dwell on his life though it's none of their business , i would have to say he is winning big time. i don't see a problem with someone who can afford to party without being a draw on other peoples money. let him live life how he wants to and forget about him. personally i'm not perfect but i don't want others deciding how i should live, would you?

He needs help, it is very obvious. But if he did get an intervention, I doubt he would even listen to anyone.

I would say he needs help....although his eccentric personality is becoming a source of entertainment for a lot of people, it is second to the fact that he does indeed still have a problem. His personality and how he communicates is that of a person still on cocaine (speaking from friends and personal experience, some signs along with the eccentricity are how highly he thinks of himself, and how he is 'winning'). Even if he is somehow clean, and even more-so, SOMEHOW stays clean, it is obvious that a lot of damage has been done. I would suggest to him to invest in some new hobbies right away, or he will be bored once again and 'banging seven gram rocks'.

I think he needs an intervention.  He is clearly out of control.  I like Charlie Sheen and I am  fan of "Two and a Half Men" .  I wish him all the best.
