Please tell me your stories of the "Law Of Attraction" working in your life.

    I am not quite convinced....yet : )

Hm...so far I've attracted six divorces and two bankruptcies... do those  count?  lol

In truth, I do believe in the Law of Attraction.  But I also believe in the Garth Brooks song lyric:

    Some of God's greatest gifts...
    Are unanswered prayers.

Uh...(scratches bald head)...what'd I miss, Misha?  The Spammer ID thingie, that is...?  He's pushing "The Law of Attraction"? Or...

Guess I'd better go check out his profile.  Must  be  a clue in the woodpile somewhere....

Ah.  Definite clue in the profile.

But...maybe he's  really NOT convinced yet...?  (Okay, I'm not that gullible.  Do ramble at times, though....)

Wow not exactly the response I was looking for lol.

Guess your Law worked this way. lol

Try again, but read the rules first. Right when you are typing your post, there is some text on the left. Violating what is said there makes you a spammer wink

So I've read the rules. And am 100% confident that I am not breaking any rules.

I did find this though, which was interesting smile

            LOL

This is how it usually works:

Spammer no1 - "How is that law of attraction working for ya?"

Spammer no2 - "Wow - awesome! - I have now found god and love life. Check out this site for more information."

*leaves link to spammy BS LoA site*

Just how stupid do you think we are?

              Good point.

Would have been a MUCH better point if I had actually posted a link to a site, rather than simply starting a discussion in a forum about something that interests me.

Why do some people automatically presume the worst? I wonder... Is there is a hub somewhere about "negative thinking"? lol

There is such a hub - but it is 85 words of garbage with a stolen photograph in and has just been flagged as sub standard. Your personal score of 10 might be a bit of a giveaway as well.........

How is that loa working for ya?  lol

What are you not getting? I told you how it usually works:

One person sets up 2 accounts.

They use one account to start a forum thread asking for help or info.

They use the other account to reply and leave a link to the "genuine question asked."

Especially when you are talking about BS spam cons like LoA.

So - you appear to be a spammer and your hubber score and low quality hubs would seem to bear that out.

Plus - you have never made any forum posts before and your first post just happens to be about a spammy subject.

Now - if you are not a spammer you have just learned what not to do. No charge.

All I know is some law of attraction guru and his friend lectured me about thinking I was more attractive than a celebrity.  I will never say that again.  Not allowed to have any opinions in that regard lol.

A perfect example of getting attacked for thinking outside of the proverbial box.  Had one of those experiences in 1972.  Was at the time President of the Spokane Astrological Society (No, not bragging--there were only five of us altogether!).

At the time, I'd figured out that I did believe in reincarnation and I did NOT like it.  Did not like having to come back again and again and again like being conscripted into the Army repeatedly.  So I told my 4 "friends" that I was going to get out of this rat race, and I was going to figure out how to do it in THIS lifetime.

All 4 of 'em  came completely unglued.  "You can't do that!  That's egotistical!  You have to take another 37 lives like Edgar Cayce says Jesus had to!"  etc.

I'd read a lot of Cayce, never found THAT quote, not that it mattered.  What matters is, if we DARE to grow beyond a group of Law of Attraction gurus...or crack smokers...or amateur astrologers...we do that, and the Freakout Factor WILL be in play with your soon to be former friends.

Final thought for the moment:  If your avatar is anything close to the reality, you're WAY more attractive than a WHOLE lot of celebrities, and I DON'T just mean Danny DeVito....lol

If the secret works then why do the law of attraction gurus get so mad when you say something that goes against the secret.  I am just curious because it they have it, why do they need to defend it?

What do you mean?  I just am saying why does this guy need to tell us the law of attraction is so great if it really works.  I am skeptical it works as well as he says it does is all.

Mark Knowlesposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Sounds like people who believe in god. If you really believed - why would you want to defend that position?

If the LoA worked - it would not need defending. wink

I get what you mean.  Yeah the people preaching religion and law of attraction are way too desperate.  Better not tell them you think you are more attractive than any celebrities they want to date, using the law of attraction, or they will freak out smile.

Although - I will remember that one for next time. I am better looking than Sean Connery any day of the week. smile

It was on a hub.  Just thought it was so funny they took it so seriously.  The law of attraction guru told me I do not value myself as much as he does because I do not consider myself worthy enough to date an actor.  That was pretty funny.

                1. Mark Knowles profile image60

                  LOLO

That is funny. Worthy enough to date an actor? Most actors I have met are so self-absorbed, I would have to seriously lower my standards to want to date one.

This "guru" has some big self esteem issues if that is how he pumps himself up. What a moron. lol

I believe in the law of attraction.  All I wanted a year ago was a laptop and a great girlfriend (I was seeing women that weren't... good for me).  2 months after that I met a great woman and my company bought me a laptop.  8 months ago I really wanted a raise, and 2 months after I got it.

I think at a base level it helps just having the attitude, because that changes your actions.  When you're thinking about what you want, you tend to take steps to get that.  When you're thinking about what you don't have, you're just sad.  I think there definitely is a deeper level to it, just look at quantum physics and the presence of observation required to compact even a small particle from waves of possibility to an actual point.  Do I completely understand it?  Nope, not at all.  Do I use it?  Yes.  Every day I picture what I want in my future, and every day I get closer to attaining that future.

It is good to have a positive attitude, but sometimes we cannot manage things that are out of our own control.  You can have the most  positive attitude in the world, but it is not going to prevent natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, and fires.
