What would be the 1st three things you'd do if your car ran out of gas in the middle of the desert?

    1) Water bottles obtain
    2) Charge my mobile & make some calls
    3) Huff it if I have to or sit & wait for my ride to show up.

    1) sit in the car and enjoy the quiet and life
    2) use the air bags in the car as pillows
    3) spray the water on the windscreen wipers and lick it up..... until it runs out

    1. Create a fire to signal for help

    2. Keep myself relax in order to consume less water to survive

    3. Look for source of water

    1. Freak Out
    2. Cry
    3. Then calm down, try to think clearly, make phone calls and think of a plan to get out of the situation.

Hopefully I would still have cell phone service so I could call for help.  If not it would depend on the time of day---if it is close to getting dark I would stay put and come up with a plan all the while praying that someone will come by....if not, at first light I would decide on what and how from my plan.  I tend to carry a survival bag and supplies in my car so depending on where in the desert I would be able to make it.

Assuming that cell phones are out of the question -- stay with the car, gather any vegetation that's visible from the car and put it in plastic, then rip off my rear-view mirror in preparation of signaling any overhead air traffic.

Yes, I was raised in a desert. We had to know this drill long before we were old enough to drive.
