No. I am OK. All those around don't seem to be OK. If there is one thing I would like a change, it is the world that should change to suit my whims and fancies in 2013!!

You gave me a great laugh! This is the outlook of most narcissists! Nothing wrong with them, it's everyone else! If only people did what they wanted them to do for them, life would be perfect!

Yes, I would like to change the way I react at times when I am presented with the lack of one's full attention in business when trying to get my goal accomplished. It irritates me when those in customer service do not give their undivided attention to the matter at hand....and, I don't like the emotions it stirs up inside. I am learning to take note of names and times when appropriate....always best to be able to report who you spoke with and the action that occurred.  Merry Christmas!

Cordelia, I struggle with the same thing. 3 days ago at McDonalds there was only one register open at lunchtime.  When I suggested they open another register the manager suggested I go eat elsewhere! Unbelievable.

Believe me, I know what you mean, customer service is not what it used to be, some people just don't know how to be polite and helpful. Please be patient though because it will save you a lot of stress, that person really needs a better attitude.

Yes, I want to make a difference in so many more peoples lives. I want to help as many as I possibly can if they require assistance. I want to help the homeless, the hungry (most of all the precious little children), the down and out, etc. I just want to give them some hope that a brighter day does lie ahead of them and there are really people who do still care. Merry Christmas Kejanny!

J, what type of work do you do? Have you ever thought of earning a degree in Human Services? That would be right up your alley. I teach online for Liberty University in their Masters program in Human Services. Sounds like you have what it takes!

      Hello Debbie,
I would love to get my masters, but I am self employed and would find it impossible to find the time. Thank you for your kind words. Merry Christmas!

If I took enough time to contemplate my answer to this question, it would be next year already...literally.
The reality is, I've overhauled myself in numerous ways throughout the years, in addition to those "changes" that are naturally occurring.  I think we change without even intending to, don't you?   As we age and experience more and learn new things, we gain new perspectives.  Our attitude and lifestyle change accordingly, to our own level of comfort and acceptance.
There is one constant for me, however.  I am always searching for a better, more realistic way to manage my "TIME."   Either I am getting much slower to act and react...OR, it's true that time flies by much more quickly as we age!!
I just never seem to have enough time, to do what I'd like to do....and my priorities are a jumbled mess!!!     Happy New Year...2013!!!!

I want to focus more on good health and getting back to my former vegan lifestyle where I worked out regularly.  This year brought some challenges - and as a result a slip back into bad habits of eating foods my body doesn't like.  I think this year will be a time to focus on improving healthy/energy and organization.  More time and energy makes me better able to serve my family and others who need me while still having my own needs met.

Christin, You have some great goals of becoming healthier!  I don't aspire to become vegan, but I do want to eat more vegetables and fruit and less processed foods. I plan to exercise more and I bought a bike & love riding so it's promising!

tnvrstar, I would like to be less friendly and less naive.  I get myself in trouble by assuming that others want my friendship and that I can trust them.  I hope you see success in becoming more friendly.

Yes!   More positivity.  More energy to fulfill my dreams.   Work with others to devise more efficient, eco-friendly technology.  More patience with those who disagree with me.  Giving more of my self to others, selflessly.

There are several things I'd like to change about myself in 2013: I'd like to lose 10 pounds, I'd like to learn to keep my mouth shut more often, I'd like to care less about what others think, and I'd like to dedicate more time to helping others.  Quite a list, isn't it?

Caring less about what other people think is very liberating, although it might seem arrogant to some folks. It took me 40 years to figure out that I'm important too! I wish you much luck!

Good luck in accomplishing these things. If you can learn to not let what others say bother you...then maybe you can say much less. I have done pretty well myself about not worrying about what others say.

Learning to keep my mouth shut more often, and care less about what others think are two additional qualities I'd like to obtain in 2013 as well.  This was a great post!

Plate full of hunger in poor's house, unfulfilled dreams of eyes, tears of sorrows, the strength with the stronger and the weakness with the poor, slept less nights of truth and my dreams to keep all my loved ones happy would be something I would like to change in the year to come.

We always look forward to change corruption, poverty and the war in the world but if we are able to change the hearts of all the mass then life would automatically be simple and the world would be the happiest place to live in.Thus we should always contribute to the truth and if we do not support sin in any manner then there would be nothing we would like to change and everyone in the world would be happy.

I lost about 80 pounds this year, so I want to keep that going in 2013. Mostly, though, what I need to work on is my self confidence. There are so many things that I want do to, but I convince myself that I can't.

I have lots of things I would like to change about myself....but not just for 2013 really. I feel I'm always looking for change and I always will be. I think it's the right thing to do...otherwise you simply stop growing. Specifically though...I would like to get in shape a bit more so I will be looking to eat better food and exercise a bit more. Feeling better about yourself physically helps you feel better about yourself mentally.

About a dozen years ago, I wrote up a lengthy New Year's resolution. I sat down and brainstormed on how I wanted to change this, that, and the next thing. When I was done...I had written down 76 areas in my life where I wanted to either improve or do something different.

To my chagrin...I succeeded on only 3. From that day on, I decided not to write any more resolutions, but instead decided to keep it simple, by focussing on only a handful of things that were reasonably attainable and ones which I could submit to memory.

I have already made several changes in the last 2 years, which have given me a new outlook on life and health. For 2013, I would like to be more assertive in knowing what is good for me and moving forward. I don't want to waste time on thinking about things that may hold me back.

This is a very good question.  My answer is I'd like to change everything about myself!  I've had it with just about everything--where I live, who I see, what I see, my hair, my clothes, my job, my house and everything in it, my car, my health, my education, my technology, the weather, etc.  The list is endless.  The ONLY things I'd keep the same are my kids and my dog, and I want to improve my relationship with them.
