What movie are you most looking forward to seeing in 2012?

There are so many good films coming out this year. If you could only see one film this year, what would it be? I'm going to have to embrace my inner geek and go for The Avengers...

I basically can't wait for The Hobbit. If that's the only movie I see in theaters this year I will be happy enough.

"The Hobbit" is the top but...

"The Great Gatsby"  because you can never have enough Leonardo DiCaprio mixed with good literature.

Can't wait to see The Hunger Games. It was a great book. I hope the movie can come close to matching it.

My answer is “The Hobbit”.  I’m a big fan of J.R.R. Tolkien and Peter Jackson. “The Lord of the Rings” Trilogy is the best film ever made, on my list. The grace, the beauty of the story is unmatchable.

The Dark Knight Rises, the last in Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy. The first two were so good, amazing in IMAX and I can't wait to see how it all ends.

The Hobbit, I read this book when I was like 11 years old . And when the movies started to come out I wonderd why the Hobbit didn't come out first.

Like others I can't wait to see The Hobbit. I hope they did stick to the original story, but I heard that some characters will appear who weren't in the book (some who weren't even born yet).
An other movie I'm really looking forward to is The Hunger Games. I read the books not the long ago and I was really intrigued by them.

There would be more like The Dark Knight Rises, The Hobbit, Thor 2, Moonrise Kingdom and will be more fun with unpredictable.

I am also waiting for The Hobbit. I loved the Lord of The Rings trilogy. Hope it will fulfill the expectations.

The Hobbit!  I never understood why it wasn't made before the Lord of the Rings.  I can't wait to see Smaug!

you have another Tolkien fan here, maybe i can sneak in a second though, since this movie has already been seen and released in 2009. the day after this coming Christmas when the world HAS NOT ended or maybe someone will write a new Mayan calendar, we can watch the movie 2012 and laugh about it. i do enjoy quite a bit of John Cusak's films

    The Hobbit and Pixar's "Brave"

I'd also like to see Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, but I'm not sure yet.

I would say Avengers, I loved the comics as a kid. But I worry that they may not do the story justice and may warp from the original storylines.

The Avengers is my number one, can't wait to see.

For those worried about how it will turn out, let me say this: Joss Whedon is at the helm of this movie, and is as much as a comic book geek as will find in the industry.  There is no one better to do this movie justice.
