Has any movie or television show inspired you to do something?
"Six Feet Under", a drama that aired on HBO from 2001-2005 about a family that runs a funeral home out of their house, inspired me to start writing fiction again. It reminded me that the ONLY fiction worth writing and reading is character-based fiction. It's still the best writing that's ever appeared on television. There is a current television show, however, that is quickly giving SFU a run for its money, and that is "Shameless" on Showtime. It's based on a former British series of the same name. The characters are so fully developed and likeable, you can't help but love and care for them, even when they are dispicable, like William H. Macy's Frank Gallagher.
Every Night a TV or Movie inspire me to do something... It usually involves eating something, sitting on the couch, and falling asleep! Hey, you didn't ask if what I did would be inspiring as well!
The movie "Misery" inspired me to not drive in a snow storm nor try to escape someone who has broken my legs while tied to a bed.
The movie "Good Will Hunting" inspired me to be secretly intelligent....the sucking at math thing kind of held me back though...
The TV show "Bones" taught me to stop watching something before it gets so over done and jumps the shark so many times that it becomes a virtual unwatchable facsimile of its former self.
The Movie "Hop" inspired me to become the Easter Bunny. You're welcome!
Ever felt uninspired by the world around you and by Television and Movies in particular. Then you are like me! This article is a sarcastic take of where you can find inspiration to do, or not do things based on TV and Movies you didn't realise were doing so. read more
The hit cooking shows such as Nigella Feasts, Nigella Bites and Masterchef Australia triggered the cooking interest in me. Thanks to these shows, I developed a new interest to prepare tasty foreign dishes as well as my delicious country's dishes. Also inspired by Nigella's shows, I made a quick and yummy dessert and would like to try baking myself in the near future!
