Do you think Hunger Games is too violent of a movie for children to watch?
I would say it depends on teh age of the child. As well as the child's general sensitivity to violence etc. and the parent's willingness/ability to discuss the movie with the child. I don't think it is appropriate for young children, but I think as long as it is discussed properly etc. it could be appropriate for mature tweens/young teens.
I think it has a 12 rating for a reason, but it depends on the specific child. If they are easily scared maybe it is too violent, but I hope most 12 year olds understand it is a film and only pretend, I think the film teaches a few lessons for teens too!
