    No, people can not really levitate.  But there is a magic trick that makes it looks like one can levitate with both feet off the ground for a couple of inches.   This trick can be found on the internet and in some magic books.

      An interesting idea but seems outside of the basic premiss of the question.  Adding an additional source or energy or provided leverage to achieve levitation like a magnetic field is really no different than using a rope.

    No.  It is not possible for a person to levitate in the traditional sense of defying the law of gravity, however some skilled individuals are capable of supporting their bodies in ways most can't.  There is a television commercial showing a man standing out from a pole like a flag in the wind.  I couldn't do that with the help of an invisible forklift.  Also, take note there is no such thing as an invisible forklift either.

    There is one way to levitate. Google diamagnetic levitation. Pretty fascinating, but unfortunately nowhere near strong enough to levitate a human. It is strong enough to levitate a frog or a mouse, though.
