Can people really change? Or only change their behavior?

What are your thoughts on this?

Do people have baseline personalities that don't change?

If we want to "change" do we have to constantly work on our behavior, what we say and do?

I just am not sure. I used to think people can really change, but I am now not as confident in this belief as I once was.

The poor follow the laws , like sheep most often or herd mentality . The super rich do what they want with an occasional slap on the wrist. The smart do best for balance.

I have not noticed that. Sounds like a bunch of cliches. A really big overgeneralization.

And didn't even address change at all, which was the point of this discussion.

Mass Psychosis has the greatest dictatorship of peoples habits they follow.
Most people just follow the crowds.

I take the least traveled path and happy to be more unique rather than fighting the competition or following the herd.

            That's good for you,and I respect that.

I sometimes follow, and most of the time not. People think I am very strange and I might be. But I can "conform" when I need to. I'm not sure if that is a personal flaw or something that is a good trait. Maybe both, in different ways.

I think society would be pretty chaotic if it weren't for the normies. And there are a lot of normies that I respect and love.

This covid new world order normal is not for me.

It won't be too long the majority will not stand for this great abuse and unbalancing one-sided propaganda.

It is the Aquarius age, more changes will be happening than any other time in most people's lifetime.

                I agree.

About the Aquarian Age, you and I are both here now for a reason. So is everyone else here at this time. The difference is we know it already. Am I right?

People can change if they really want too.
Yes, they have to remind themselves in the beginning...until it becomes part of their daily routine.

      Nothing is impossible.

But are you really different, or just better able to control yourself and action?

Many of the sheep maybe lost. Your best off thinking for yourself first, then share.  Then change will come your way, one way or another.

Always possiblities and many ways to skin a cat. Don't know anyone who would skin a cat, unless that quote came from the Cat haters book.
          You get the gist.

I agree mostly. Yet I was a sheep once and still am in some respects because of some personal flaws such as a weak will (that I am actively working to change). And I noticed at least one person I care for is coming around. so all is not lost!

I look at the story of the Wizard of OZ
I found I was the scarecrow in the story. Always thought I was not smart enough. Yet throughout the journey the scarecrow was the one coming up with the ideas.

You maybe the lion in the story, with courage. It can be a miss perspective that you are weak, when you really can change it.

I think a part of this life is a series of tests. And a chance to improve. I watch the move cloud atlas, I think it is something along those lines, with many lives, many chances to make different choices. It is full of symbolism. In the end, our hero, who started out as the villain, goes to "heaven" after finally making the right choices.

          You are different.
Your whole outlook on life is different.

Humans have far more things in common than we do in indifferences. Yet also each human is uniquely beautiful in their own way

I believe they can under certain circumstances. I noticed that one of you mentioned the Aquarian Age. I believe that when one awakens to their soul in the Aquarian Age, that person changes for the better and can never go back.
But then there are superficial changes of the personality. Sometimes brought on by a great shock, such as when the loss of one's spouse or family wakes up an alcoholic who then changes to get that person or family back. Sometimes the change is permanent and sometimes not, and the cycle starts again.
I don't understand people who go to a therapist for help and then therapy becomes a lifelong crutch. These are usually wealthy people who can afford therapy, which is expensive.
