Which "Late/Tonight Show" do you prefer and why?
Jay Leno
David Letterman
Jimmy Fallon
Conan! He's so outrageously funny. Corn rows and orange tan - that was the last dare he took.
I've always loved Letterman, since I was a kid. Back then Johnny Carson was still around, and Letterman seemed like a madman compared to Johnny. He'd toss things off buildings and bring in people to do all kinds of crazy stuff. One time he dressed in a velcro suit and bounced off a trampoline and stuck himself to a velcro wall. Back then Letterman was one of the edgiest guys on TV.
I think he calmed down a little, but I also think the rest of the late night world caught up with him. He's still funny, but the stuff he does isn't so out there anymore. But as far as I'm concerned Dave is still the king.
I agree, Letterman appears tired to me. I also cannot stand the fact that the audience applauds everything he says. Just my opinion.
You missed the best one…Craig Ferguson. This show is so far left of centre, it is off the map. There was one tweet mail he read on the show one night, concerning their move to a new studio. The writer asked him "since you are moving to a better location, does this mean you are actually going to rehearse" That says it all. the show gets off track so often, it's as though there is no show!! Fantastic!!!
Jimmy Fallon is cool, Conan is funny, Jimmy Kimmel is hilarious, and Craig Ferguson is a genius.
Not all of them make it down to Australia - or, at least, not on free to air television, anyway. But, I've had some exposure to most of them.
Craig Ferguson and Conan O'Brien are my favourites, though I can't give any real reason other than the fact that their style of humour just matches up with mine. Jay Leno - well, I have no idea what he does that makes him so popular, but at least he's inoffensive. David Letterman annoys me, though.
Any others floating around haven't really made enough of an impression down here for me to have an opinion.
All of them are pretty weak with tired, old jokes that they don't even write for themselves.

What do you think of Jimmy Fallon as the new Tonight Show host?I have tried to like him in this new role, I really have. I think some of his things were funny on his own show, but in my opinion his interviews with people are painful to watch and I think he brings too much "Saturday Night...

Is it just me, or is the idea of NBC moving The Tonight Show to 12:05am (where it is no longer even "tonight" but "tomorrow morning") to accommodate Jay Leno Retarded with a capital "R"?Conan must be extremely flattered that Fox wants him. I'd be surprised if he takes...

Who should replace David Letterman? When Dave retires, who do you think should host The Late Show? Would you like to see it hosted by a younger host, a newcomer to talk shows (Conan was a newcomer when he replaced Dave), or someone who is already established in the world of late night shows?

Did anyone see Madonna on Letterman tonight? She's morphing into MJ (no offense, I love MJ, but he became a freak of nature for whatever reason) and Madonna looks like Joan Rivers. She' so friggin awesom talent wise, why would she do that to herself? What really happens to these...
