Why isn't there an Education Topic on CNN's homepage?

Just wondering. They cover nearly everything else, some of it not nearly so important. Next to Opinion, Entertainment, Best Photos, HLNtv.com, and Popular on Facebook, isn't there room for something more meaningful? I asked them once, but never got a response...

CNN, like all other large media enterprises, will only include outrageous content. Did you ever notice how they constantly praise certain countries (usually the ones where their owners reside), and they run down other countries on topics which should have never gotten close to international fame.

Its the same with education. They wont include it because its not sensational. If people want education, they will seek it out. CNN will not gain readers/viewers from showing these stories, and that's what they are there for. To make money. What bothers me the most, is that they pretend to be responsible (similar to many other corporations) and even go to far lengths to make themselves look ethical. But sadly, its an image and a front. they have no interest in our well being, education, or even on filling us in on the goings on in the world, unless its sensationalized and provides some $ for them.

Not to mention the fact that, if people are better educated, they are less likely to fall for their nonsense that passes for BREAKING NEWS or TOP STORIES.

All television is entertainment.  They are trying to amuse you with an oxymoron.

The things you are mentioning right there is the reason why Education is not a Topic on CNN's homepage, there are so many other topic that can be covered that a topic on Education is an afterthought or not on the priority list.
