Act of Valor. If you haven't seen it I highly suggest it.
I loved Les Misérables, but I also thought Hunger Games was excellent. I don't get to see many movies though so I probably missed some really great ones.
I enjoyed watching James Bond's 'Skyfall'. I thought the villain was awesome and so was Daniel Craig. I thought it was a well edited movie with never a dull moment. The fact I liked most is when in the end they have to rely on ingenious methods of self-defense rather than technological gizmos.
2012 was a huge year for movies. It would be tough to pick just one. I liked Skyfall and The Dark Knight Rises. Ted was hilarious.
The Hunger Games! I was hesitating to go to the movies and see it. I was almost against it, since I felt it was overadvertised and too commercial. And then finally I went and saw it - and I enjoyed it very much. It was the first time I watched Jennifer Lawrence, and now I am her biggest fan. By the way, she had an outstanding lead role in Winter's Bone as well. And now I have to see her in the Silver Linings Playbook!
Anyway, I think The Hunger Games had a talented cast, it was believeble, and different from what we have recently seen. The books (I read them all, after watching the movie) are outstanding as well, and very well written.
To select one among so many would be harsh. I will list the following films (in no particular order) that I enjoyed watching:
1. Hunger Games
2. The Dark Knight Rises
3. 21 Jump Street
4. The Vow
5. Barfi! (Indian film)
6. Hotel Translvaniya
7. The Hobbits
9. The Grey
I'm going to have to go with "Lawless" which is based on a true story and was fantastic. I really enjoyed it although some of it was very violent but what an awesome movie! I also really enjoyed The Hunger Games
