    My first thoughts when I wake each morning are:
    *whats the weather like?
    *what day is this?
    * what time is it?
    *did I get enough sleep?
    *What are my goals or tasks for the day,
    They are not too exciting but they are real.

    What time is it? Oh, good. The cats are not upset with me yet. What day is it? Oh, that's what I have to do today. Let's let the cats out, turn on some music and get breakfast.

    What time is it?
    Do I have to go to work today?
    Let me check my phone to see what I missed while I was sleeping?

    My first thoughts are:  good I can get out of this bed (it hurts to lay down) then I start to try and remember what I wanted to get done today. Usually I think of all these things at night but forget them in the morning!

    Oh okay time to get up.
    Oh okay wait a minute.
    Oh no! Get Up!
    Oh no I'll wait.
    The phone rings and my day starts.
    Oh okay I'm up.
    Don't you dare go back to bed.

    I usually decide whether or not to go to work, then if I should shower, Then I try and figure out why my dreams are so much better than my reality, then forget them completely. I then stand up and decide if a bath and a shave will improve the outcome of the day (time  is usually a factor in this decision) Then I get in my car and haul my ass to work, whilst getting an invigorating nicotine fix. If I am not working that particular day, I take a piss, and flop back into bed.
