Get up (with coffee!), sit around for something under an hour, and head for the gym for a workout.  Come back, have brunch/breakfast/lunch (depending on the mood).  Mow lawn as necessary, or check HubPages and email.

I can't afford the gym, but I do have a treadmill.

A treadmill, then, followed by a long walk, jog or bike ride.  Gets a little tough in a foot of snow, though. big_smile

Wake up, restroom, coffee, watch iCarly, go to work. It works but if I could just figure out a way not to have to work...???

That's easy Cre8tor. Just get old like me. I finally retired and I miss my job but I don't miss getting up and driving through morning traffic.

My morning routine as a retiree:
    Wake up
Feed two cats and take meds (supposed to wait an hour before ingesting anything else, but I take coffee black so I start on my first cup)
    Coffee
    Breakfast
Feed and water my spoiled pet chicken
Let breakfast settle and watch news, by that time it's nearly noon anyway
    Get to moving around.

Several years ago I was taken off coffee for about six months. Ease off of it or you'll have headaches for at least a week.

I eased off by gradually switching to decaf. After several weeks of no caffeine, I found that I didn't crave cokes or tea either. Why bother to drink? I had to make myself drink water and herb tea. It wasn't worth it and I went back on real coffee.

Routine? What’s that?  Today I woke very early (again!),  cursed the ongoing heatwave, drank water to counteract dehydration,  took meds, forced myself to take the Nordic poles for spin around the park. Collapsed back on to my bed, bathed in sweat. Staggered to the shower. Ate too many carbs in the form of porridge and a banana. .Watched the morning news on tv. Contemplated housework. Too hot and lacking motivation so abandoned the idea and read a couple of chapters of Coffin Road instead. Checked hubpages.  Soon be time for the mid-morning decaf ( caffeine raises blood pressure and frazzles nerves, neither effect necessary in my case). Now back to Coffin Road. The joys of old age!

I am also a retiree (aged 67). My morning routine?

Wake up at 6, make tea, drink tea. Then clean the kitchen platform, stove, etc. Get the cooker washed. Take my bath after toilet. Indulge in my daily worship. It is 10 am now. Prepare breakfast and eat it. Have my BP medicine. Prepare coffee and drink it. Then, my computer is ready for me.
