Would Taylor Swift have done well as a competitor on American Idol?
That is an interesting question! I only watched the first two or three years of idol and don't know how much it has changed. From what I saw of the show she probably would have made it through at least a few rounds because she is very cute and can sing. Her voice isn't super strong but I think her thing is mostly songwriting. Can't blame her for wanting to be the one to perform her own songs.

I think she might have made it through a few rounds. She's very pretty and doesn't have a bad voice although it lacks the power and range I've seen in some of the more successful competitors. I don't think the judges give points for being able to play an instrument either. I think she chose the right path for her career.
