City of Angels is by far my favorite romantic movie of all time. It is romantic, sweet, and sad. It's also great to see a different side of Nicolas Cage. On top of that it had one of the best soundtracks of the 90's.

Casablanca is my favorite for too many reasons to mention. I have loved it since I was a kid. It is a tale of forgiveness and redemption. It features some of the greatest performances ever by legendary actors. It is a deeply romantic movie in which everyone involved is willing to sacrifice happiness and even life for the well-being of the one they love. I especially adore the fact that Bogart walks off into the new day with Claude Rains instead of Ingrid Bergman.

This film still captures my imagination.  I swear that I can smell the spices in the marketplace, the French Champagne spilling across the table, the Moroccan coffee served at the Blue Parrot, and Rick's inevitable bay rum and cigarettes. As time goes by, Casablanca stands the test it.

I liked Casablanca, too. It's an all time classic. I used a poster of it, on my Hub; "I Think I Have the Wrong Number".

Kate and Leopold is just one of my favorite.  Did she belong in the current time or in his time.  Great story and ending.

Like Nichol marie, my favorite romantic movie is "Ghost." I cry every time. I love when the antagonist goes crazy trying to do what ever he was trying to do with those stocks on the computer. I believe he is now playing another bad character: the president on "Scandal."

That was a funny and romantic movie, you're both right.  When Patrick's character, came into his ghostly power it was very exciting.

My one all time favorite, so far (and I'm always looking) is "An Affair To Remember" with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. I didn't care much for the later remake with Warren Beatty and Annette Bening. The chemistry was all wrong. Funny thing about chemistry between men and women in movies. Also loved Dances With Wolves with Kevin Costner and The Last of the Mohicans with Daniel Day Lewis and Madeline Stowe.  Like all the movies we love, we watch them hundreds of times and more. To me that's the test of a good one; your willingness to watch it again and again.
