That is a good question. I am torn between Sleepless in Seattle and The Notebook
For me, A Walk To Remember, Can't get enough of that movie
A Walk To Remember is the best romantic movie ever i watched in my life
Ghost is the most romantic, yeah it is, love with sincerity and honesty, that's true love.
I enjoyed both Before Sunrise and its sequel, Before Sunset.
1. An Affair to Remember
2. Love Affair
3. The Way We Were
But I am only sticking to films in English which is limiting.
Crouching Dragon Hidden Tiger and in Spanish; LIke Water for Chocolate but there are many many others in other languages.
A lot of people say The Notebook but I didn't think so. My opinion is Romeo & Juliette. Aside from Cinderella which doesn't have Shakespeare's depth, it's the ultimate classic love story.
The love story in Pride and Prejudice is truly remarkable. They start out with really low opinions of each other and have to discover each other through difficult and distance means. I also like The Notebook, like everyone else.
For me, it's a movie titled 'Enchanted April.' It is set in England in the twenties, maybe a little later, but it is very romantic.
For me Romance is for a lifetime. Not a one time event.
1)The French Lieutenant's Woman (Jeremy Irons/Meryl Streep)
2) Ryan's Daughter (Robert Michum/Sarah Miles)
3)Atonement (Keira Knightley, James McAvoy)
All moving and tragic in their way ... but I have never forgotten any of them.
I think "A Walk To Remember" was really heart touching. I did like "The Notebook". But I think it would have been much better if I hadn't read the book. The book was just sooo much better than the movie showed.
Ah, I saw someone here already mention mine-Casablanca.
I liked ghost, but I am not the best on romantic movies of all time. There are classic romantic movies but my ex wife would argue that the Butterfly Effect was a good one.
Indian Bollywood Movie : "Ek Duje Ke liye" (Made for Each-other), star cast : Rati agnihotri and Kamal Hasan. This is the one of best movie which I have ever seen. Love to see again and again....
My favorite romantic movie has GOT to be The Time Travelers Wife.. there is nothing like this movie and it is so beautiful. This movie got me crying, i recommend watching this video
How about "Somewhere in Time" with Chris Reeves and Jane Seymour.
1. The Notebook
2. A Walk To Remember
Both based on books by Nicholas Sparks
50 First Dates is awesome and extremely romantic, and then I'd go with You've Got Mail.
1. P.S. I Love You
2. Bridges of Madison County
3. The Notebook
The "Notebook" and "Somewhere in Time" comes to mind right away
I really like Titanic. It is the perfect romantic movie in my opinion.
I agree with "The Notebook" that is probably my number one.
Pride and Prejudice is a good one too. With both of these movies though...the book is better, nothing beats a romantic book.
I liked titanic very much. although there are lots of romantic movies around there
I have two favourite romantic movies - Ghost, and The Notebook.
The Notebook and P.S. I Love You. Both make me cry every time.
Mine is titanic.Thats becz of fictionalized account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. Cameron's inspiration for the film was predicated on his fascination with shipwrecks; he wanted to convey the emotional message of the tragedy, and felt that a love story interspersed with the human loss would be essential to achieving this.....love it.
In my opinion, An Affair to Remember. Even though they both have things to overcome, they win in the end. I cry every time I see it and must have seen it a few dozen times by now.
Love Affair (1994) is the most romantic,
but also romantic enough and different are:
Six Days, Seven Nights
The Horse Whisperer
The Bridges of Madison County
Message in a Bottle
Oh - - - The Way We Were (Katie brushing Hubble's hair away from his face at the end gets me every time.)
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (Something's Happening to my heart) its a Hindi movie about two college friends. The guy falls in love with another girl who insisted he name their child after his college friend and leaves letters for the child to find his friend and get them back together.
I saw this back in High School and this movie made even the tough guys in my class cry.
"Ghost" Loved it from top to bottom along with the hauntingly beautiful music.
Fight Club .. just kidding! I would have to go with "Meet Joe Black"
The notebook and The Lakehouse are the best romantic movies.
Sooo many to choose from...but "You've Got Mail" still makes me cry in the last scene.
Im going to say the notebook, I love the way it catches young love in its truest form , it doesn't portray it as the love that has no faults it shows the ups and downs and the battles and the falling in love and the passion involved. I love it , because in someways i can relate to it .
Hard to choose..
I like a lot of romantic movies, I will try to pick one-
My Big Fat Greek Wedding..
My husband says, "Rambo." hehe
For me, It would be 'P.S. I Love You' and Ghost - they make my hear melt evrytime i watch them and I also love an Indian movie - 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'.
I have to say Ghost - that was a beautiful sad and funny(funny thanks to Whoopy) movie all at the same time. Great cast!
