But I am only sticking to films in English which is limiting.

    In Chinese...

Crouching Dragon Hidden Tiger and in Spanish; LIke Water for Chocolate but there are many many others in other languages.

A lot of people say The Notebook but I didn't think so. My opinion is Romeo & Juliette. Aside from Cinderella which doesn't have Shakespeare's depth, it's the ultimate classic love story.

The love story in Pride and Prejudice is truly remarkable. They start out with really low opinions of each other and have to discover each other through difficult and distance means. I also like The Notebook, like everyone else.

For me, it's a movie titled 'Enchanted April.'  It is set in England in the twenties, maybe a little later, but it is very romantic.

    1)The French Lieutenant's Woman (Jeremy Irons/Meryl Streep)
    2) Ryan's Daughter (Robert Michum/Sarah Miles)
    3)Atonement (Keira Knightley, James McAvoy)

All moving and tragic in their way ... but I have never forgotten any of them.

I think "A Walk To Remember" was really heart touching. I did like "The Notebook". But I think it would have been much better if I hadn't read the book. The book was just sooo much better than the movie showed.

I liked ghost, but I am not the best on romantic movies of all time.  There are classic romantic movies but my ex wife would argue that the Butterfly Effect was a good one.

Mine is titanic.Thats becz of fictionalized account of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. Cameron's inspiration for the film was predicated on his fascination with shipwrecks; he wanted to convey the emotional message of the tragedy, and felt that a love story interspersed with the human loss would be essential to achieving this.....love it.

In my opinion, An Affair to Remember. Even though they both have things to overcome, they win in the end. I cry every time I see it and must have seen it a few dozen times by now.

Love Affair (1994) is the most romantic,
but also romantic enough and different are:
    French Kiss
    Six Days, Seven Nights
    The Horse Whisperer
    The Bridges of Madison County
    Message in a Bottle

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (Something's Happening to my heart) its a Hindi movie about two college friends. The guy falls in love with another girl who insisted he name their child after his college friend and leaves letters for the child to find his friend and get them back together.
I saw this back in High School and this movie made even the tough guys in my class cry.

Im going to say the notebook, I love the way it catches young love in its truest form , it doesn't portray it as the love that has no faults it shows the ups and downs and the battles and the falling in love and the passion involved. I love it , because in someways i can relate to it .
