Does anyone else love the crabby cartoon character, Maxine, and if so, please share a favorite line?

Maxine's funny quotes on life bring a lot of laughter, at least for me, and a reminder to not take ourselves too seriously.  Do you have a particular quote by Maxine you love?  Of course, I couldn't add an image of Maxine, so I just used a legal image from Pixabay here. A friend from work shared the following philosophy from Maxine yesterday, which I think is pertinent for today's environment. "According to Maxine, the economy is so bad, Exxon Mobile laid off 25 congressmen.  Maxine also thinks it will probably be best if we just go the next four years without a president."

Who could ever forget Maxine? She was politically correct before the word was ever thought of. I like this. " If Fed Ex and UPS were to merge, would they call it Fed UP? lol

LOL, Ruby, thank you for sharing that line.  Did you mean not politically correct?  Hope your day is filled with laughter.

Hi Faith,  I get Maxine email forwards from friends all the time.  She had a couple at Christmas time several years ago that still tickle me today.  One said something like, "I have a hard time believing the story of the Three Wise Men...one maybe, but three??  And another one said something like, "It's Christmas...time to see what they've done to my church since Easter."  It really is a clever cartoon.  Fun question.

'No matter what life throws at me, at least I don't have ugly children.'  I like them all, but recently saw this one in a news feed on Facebook.  Maxine is a smart cookie.  We can learn a whole lot of things from grumpy old ladies.

I love Maxine! Honestly, though, I can't think of my favorite saying of hers off the top of my head. I always chuckle at the ones that celebrate aging and changing priorities, especially when it comes to cleaning house. Not that I live in a dirty house, but I no longer keep a cleaning schedule as I did when my son was young. Now I pretty much do what I feel like doing - or not doing.

Maxine's a hoot. And I love her idea of going the next four years without a president. They don't listen to us anyway, so why bother?

Hi Sha, Yes, Maine's a hoot for sure!  I am the same way now that my children are grown about the house cleaning. Maybe Maxine has worn off on me LOL. We may just fair a lot better without a president ...
